I’ve found and read a huge number of books on various topics related to the seven areas of Human Resource Management we’re exploring on the Accidental-HR blog. Some of them aren’t worth telling you about or recommending.
Some of them are terrific! These are the ones I’ve listed for you on this page. Each title is a link to another page where I’ll tell you more about the book. That page will also provide you with links to Amazon.com and Amazon.ca in case you’d like to add the book to your own reading list.
About Purchasing Books Online
If you’ve never bought anything online, it may be rather frightening to start. I’ve been buying online for years and I can tell you there are places where I wouldn’t make a purchase, either. Some places are not to be trusted. There are two factors I always watch for, that I believe make buying online very safe.
- I only buy from big name businesses or people I know and trust. Amazon and PayPal are two business I totally trust.
- If I want to make a purchase from someone new, I won’t buy unless I can make my purchase through PayPal. Here’s why: PayPal is a huge company with a lot of reputation on the line. They are going to protect you. The way it works is you register your credit card information with them and they take care of everything. The person you’re buying from never gets their hands on your credit card information. Learn more about PayPal.
In the interests of total transparency (and to satisfy the FTC requirements)…
I want you to know that should you decide to purchase a book using a link from this blog, I will receive a small commission. The amount of commission varies with the book seller, but it will be about enough to allow me to buy a pack of gum.
I have purchased each of the books on my bookshelf. None of them have been provided to me by the author.
And finally, the book list…
If the title of a book is not an active link, it’s because I haven’t put that page together yet. If you’d like to know when a book review is posted, please make sure you subscribe to receive email updates. The form is at the bottom of this page, or you can also use the form at the top of the left hand column of this (and every) page.
